Black Redstart in Scotland
25/06/2011 09:26:10 by John

Very new to bird spotting but I'm almost certain that I have a family of Black Redstarts in my garden. I have not seen the male (easier to identify) but a female and at least two young are bobbing about on the lawn, it's the orange tail section that caught my eye.
When I went to check this out I discovered that it is less likely to see these birds in the South West of Scotland! Could it be these birds or have I made a gaff? If so what are they.
