Can anyone enlighten me to what I have seen?
19/03/2010 12:32:08 by sheila marchant

I work in London by River Thames. I went out today for a ciggie and was attracted by a songbird signing quiet loudly but to be honest it was quiet different sort of signing as compared to a blackbird which is what bought it to my attention. At first thought it was a blackbird but it was about same size (maybe slightly larger) but it had quiet large white wing tips and tail. Then I thought maybe a young magpie but it was singing and was definitley black and not bluish and seen quiet a lot of young magpies and they dont look like that. Had a yellow beak also. Didnt notice feet colour. Is it just a blackbird with a lot of white on it do you think? Or are there different types maybe wintering from somewhere?
If any one has any ideas would like to find out as was quiet stunning songbird.
