UK Status: very common resident breader / very common winter visitor and passage visitor

Largest pigeon. Mainly grey in colour with pinkish breast, identified best by slash of white on neck and clear white bars on upper wing obvious in flight. Juvenile lacks white neck marking. Resident all year round in Britain, found in parks, woods, farmland, and towns.
